Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nakamura Funakoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Catrina Andrei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funakoshi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Funakoshi closes the distance and clinches up with Andrei, looking for a takedown. Funakoshi pushes Andrei against the cage but Andrei circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Funakoshi shoots in for a takedown but Andrei shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nakamura Funakoshi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Funakoshi enables Andrei to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Funakoshi manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Andrei closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Funakoshi did well to prevent Andrei getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well Andrei has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
