Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Peppers! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sir Didymus! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Didymus takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Didymus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Peppers fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Didymus. Didymus looks gassed! Peppers lands with a nice body kick. Peppers moves in looking to clinch but Didymus pushes him off. Peppers lands a leg kick that knocks Didymus off balance momentarily. Didymus moves out of range as Peppers throws a body kick.
Brian Peppers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peppers forces Didymus back against the cage and clinches. Peppers breaks the clinch.
Peppers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Didymus paws at him with a jab and circles away. Didymus throws a hook but Peppers avoids it easily. Didymus crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Peppers - the referee stops the clock and Didymus gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Peppers. That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Peppers wants to control but Didymus is keeping busy and won't allow it. Didymus moves into full mount! Peppers won't be happy about that! Didymus with a couple of short strikes. Peppers swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Didymus looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That was a close round but Brian Peppers did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Didymus has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Didymus blocks a leg kick. Didymus misses with a hook. Peppers ducked under it nicely. Didymus fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Peppers sprawls well initially but Didymus persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Peppers wants to control but Didymus passes into side.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Didymus working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Peppers wants to get back to full guard. Didymus is working for a kimura here but Peppers manages to reverse the position and he's now in Didymus's guard.

Will he make it to the final bell? Peppers throws a front kick that sends Didymus stumbling back into the cage. Peppers uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Didymus.
