Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Labayen Luceno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spider Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spider Man told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luceno gets a clinch.
Man goes for a takedown attempt but Luceno pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Luceno doesn't manage to clinch there - Man circles away.
Man throws a hook but Luceno blocks it.
Luceno is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Man bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Man with the ground and pound but Luceno regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Man is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Man wants to stand up but Luceno manages to regain full guard.
Man is fighting to break Luceno's control of his arms but Luceno is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Luceno is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Man wants to lay and pray for a moment but Luceno keeps working.

Luceno is trying to control but can't.

Luceno is positioning himself well to prevent Man advancing to mount.

Man tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Luceno.
Luceno has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Man is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Man misses with a double jab.
Luceno tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Luceno tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Man paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Man throws a hook to the side of Luceno's head but Luceno sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Luceno throws a body punch but Man moves out of range.
Man drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Man wants to stand but Luceno is controlling his arm.
Luceno wants to control but Man postures up.
Luceno is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Luceno is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Man is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Luceno tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Man postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Man cracks Luceno with a big elbow.
Luceno wants to control but Man postures up.
Luceno manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Man wants to stand but Luceno has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Luceno is looking for a sweep. Man is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Man tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Man looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Luceno slaps away a takedown attempt from Man, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Man will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Man keeps the fight on the outside.
Luceno wants to clinch.
Man shoots in looking for a takedown. Luceno tries to sprawl out of it but Man keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Luceno manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Luceno closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Man can't get the takedown.
Labayen Luceno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spider Man.

Man throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Man lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Luceno circles away quickly and effectively.
Spider Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Luceno dodges the punch combination from Man.
Man throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

We're going to have a standup here because Labayen Luceno wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Man throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Luceno sees it coming and avoids it easily.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Man changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Luceno tries to avoid it but Man manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Luceno to the ground. Luceno escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Luceno is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Man has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Luceno is landing with strikes from the back.
Man tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Man is squirming around, avoiding Luceno's attempts to control the action.

Luceno looking to control but Man is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Man bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Man tries to stand but Luceno is controlling from the bottom.
Man wants to stand and escape but instead Luceno has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Luceno postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Man working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Luceno doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Luceno manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Man looking for subs off his back but Luceno has passed one foot through into half guard.
Luceno is working for a submission of some sort.

Well Luceno has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
