Roque comes to the cage accompanied by Parangolé - Balacobaco. Weres has chosen Hatebreed - In Ashes They Shall Reap as his entrance music. James Weres will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roque.
Roque avoids a punch combination nicely.
Roque looks for a takedown but Weres sprawls well.

Roque scores a takedown into full mount!
Roque can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Weres is looking to escape.
Roque is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Weres is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Weres is trying to stand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roque wants to control the pace but Weres is squirming around nicely.
Weres is wriggling around trying to escape.
