Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dalia Calypso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivo Fabijan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivo Fabijan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dalia Calypso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ivo Fabijan! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fabijan dips to his left and cracks Calypso with an uppercut! Fabijan has closed the distance and engaged Calypso in a clinch.
Fabijan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Fabijan lands with a short shot to the head. Calypso tries to break free but Fabijan pushes him back against the cage. Calypso tries to break the clinch but Fabijan is controlling the position. Calypso jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fabijan walks away with a smile on his face. Calypso gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Fabijan clinches. Fabijan has Calypso pressed against the cage, preventing Calypso from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Fabijan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fabijan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The fight moves into the clinch position. Calypso breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Calypso takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Fabijan throws a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fabijan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. No joy there for Fabijan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Calypso shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dalia Calypso. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fabijan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Calypso is trying to defend but Fabijan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Calypso is looking for a sweep. Fabijan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Calypso blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fabijan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calypso avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fabijan. Fabijan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Calypso is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fabijan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fabijan's back! Fabijan trying to control the hands but Calypso breaks the grip. Fabijan is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. I really don't envy Fabijan right now.
Fabijan trying to get back to his feet but Calypso is in full control for now. Calypso lands a shot to the head. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Calypso's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
You can see the frustration on Fabijan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Fabijan is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fabijan controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Fabijan looks gassed! Calypso controlling from the back. Calypso is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Calypso trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Fabijan is taking damage to the body and head. Fabijan controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Calypso loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Fabijan hold on?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fabijan is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Calypso is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Fabijan is tapping out! This one is all over!
