Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Jindrak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black comes into the arena with Darude - Sandstorm blaring out of the sound system. Jindrak has chosen Bring me to life as his entrance music. Ryan Black had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wayne Jindrak!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black drops Jindrak with a beautiful combination! Jindrak stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Black is looking for the KO!

Jindrak shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Jindrak controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Black will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Jindrak sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Jindrak's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Black wants to sweep here but Jindrak controlling him for the moment.
Jindrak controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wayne Jindrak has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jindrak is trying hard to land a takedown here. Black sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Black moves in looking to clinch but Jindrak pushes him off.
Black keeps Jindrak at a distance using the push kick.

Black breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Black decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Jindrak is not content to let Black control the position.

Black decides to return to a standing position.

Black moves into the clinch successfully.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Black breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Black gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Jindrak counters by clinching up.
Jindrak tries for a takedown. No joy.

Black breaks from the clinch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Black.
Jindrak circles away from the clinch attempt.

Oooooh!!! Black has knocked Jindrak down with a huge combo! Black steps away and waves a wobbly Jindrak back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Jindrak is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Black throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jindrak tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Black is in Jindrak's guard.
Jindrak is still in real trouble! Can Black finish him?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Black lands a couple of elbows.
Black pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jindrak is keeping the position for now.
Jindrak seems to have recovered his senses.
Black in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Black trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jindrak's guard.
Black trying to control the position from guard on top but Jindrak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Black is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Black won't allow Jindrak to sweep him here.

Black gets to his feet - Jindrak follows without any prompting.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jindrak enables Black to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jindrak manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jindrak is trying to keep Black in close.

Black gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Black lands with a nice body kick.
Black lands with a nice combination. Jindrak backs away looking to recover.
Black lands with a nice body punch.
Black shoots in for a takedown but Jindrak shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jindrak tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Black tries to clinch there but Jindrak circles away.
Black closes the distance but Jindrak moves to the side
and Jindrak counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Jindrak is looking to clinch but Black is avoiding it.
An inside leg kick lands from Black.

Black moves into the clinch successfully.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Black escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Black connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Black throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jindrak.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Black wants to clinch up but Jindrak keeps it at a distance.
Black wants to clinch.
Black rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jindrak moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Black dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Black avoids a kick to the body.
Black throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Black connects with a body shot.
Jindrak is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Black. Those never looked like landing.
Black keeps the fight on the outside.
Black misses with a takedown

and Jindrak holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Black tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Black lands an elbow that stopped Jindrak in his tracks for a moment.
Jindrak tries to pull guard but Black won't allow it.
Black wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Jindrak manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Black throws a big right hand that misses.

Jindrak trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Jindrak is breathing heavily.
Jindrak wants to get back to his feet but Black is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ryan Black.

The fight stays on the outside here - Black looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Black throws a sloppy head kick and Jindrak moves out of range easily.

Black looks to land a combination but Jindrak avoids it well.

Black shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jindrak as he avoids it easily.

Ryan Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Black moves into range and clinches up with Jindrak.
Black tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jindrak just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jindrak tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Jindrak gets control of Black's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jindrak will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Jindrak is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jindrak wants to control from the top but Black keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Wayne Jindrak hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Jindrak doesn't manage to clinch there - Black circles away.
Black is looking to clinch.
Jindrak tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Black paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Black fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Jindrak wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Jindrak wants to get back to his feet but Black is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Black is in close to Jindrak's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Jindrak has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Black can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jindrak wants to improve his position but Black is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wayne Jindrak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryan Black.
Well Black has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
