Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maurizio wants to clinch
and Martinez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Maurizio!
Martinez sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Martinez prevents Maurizio from getting the reversal.
Martinez throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Maurizio sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Martinez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Martinez is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Maurizio!
Martinez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Maurizio's face.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maurizio wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Martinez.
Martinez avoids the attempt from Maurizio to control.
Martinez is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Maurizio can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Martinez tries to control but Maurizio wriggling away.
BOOM! Martinez connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Poor strikes thrown by Martinez there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Martinez is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Maurizio is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Maurizio flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Martinez anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Maurizio and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Martinez slips an arm under Maurizio chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Martinez has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Martinez is squeezing on Maurizio like an anaconda would it's prey. Maurizio fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Fernando Martinez!
