3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brick Tamlin! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Surfer misses with the combination.

Surfer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tamlin. Tamlin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Surfer tries to avoid it but Tamlin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Surfer to the ground. Surfer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tamlin shoots in but Surfer avoids the takedown attempt easily. Surfer throws a right and a left that both miss. Tamlin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Surfer napping and manages to drive through into side control! Surfer is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Surfer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tamlin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Tamlin is nestled in close to Surfer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Tamlin performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Surfer regains full guard. Nicely done.

Tamlin passes Surfer's left leg - he's now in half guard. Tamlin moves nicely into side control. Surfer seems a little lost for a moment, as Tamlin dominates the positioning.
