The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holliday jabs Nicholas to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Nicholas wants to clinch.
Holliday looks to score with a jab to the body but Nicholas is just out of range.
Holliday scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Holliday stuns Nicholas with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Nicholas fails in his attempt to clinch.

Holliday lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nicholas misses with a body shot
and Nicholas takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nicholas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Holliday.

Nicholas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Holliday manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Doc Holliday is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nicholas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Holliday is fending him off so far but Nicholas persists. Nope, Holliday circles away and we're back to standing.
Holliday takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Holliday scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Nicholas throws a right and a left that Holliday avoids nicely.

Holliday cracks a nice hook into Nicholas's ribs.
A slow jab from Nicholas misses its intended target.
Holliday dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Holliday lands with a nice body punch.
Holliday ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nicholas swings widly with a right hand
enabling Holliday to counter with a crisp jab.
Holliday keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Holliday comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Holliday lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


Nicholas is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Holliday lands a slapping body shot.
Doc Holliday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nicholas is still on wobbly legs! Can Holliday finish him?
Nicholas gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Holliday lands a two punch combo.
Holliday is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Holliday lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nicholas at a distance.
Holliday scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Holliday throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Nicholas colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Holliday as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Nicholas is left battered and dazed whilst Holliday and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Doc Holliday!
