Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Donavan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and john johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Scott Donavan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
johnson shoots in looking for a takedown but Donavan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing johnson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Donavan feints a jab promting johnson to slip. Donavan then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. johnson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Donavan sprawls well. Donavan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Donavan misses with a straight left.
johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Donavan tries to avoid it but johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Donavan to the ground. Donavan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Scott Donavan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of john johnson.
johnson shoots in but no luck this time.
johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Donavan tries to avoid it but johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Donavan to the ground. Donavan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Scott Donavan has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Scott Donavan will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

I think johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
