Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Ness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by 50 Cent - Back Down. Mike Ness has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curtis Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Ness!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ness swings for the body but Jackson moves out of range.
Ness fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it.
Jackson connects with a looping right hand.
Ness's corner calls for a 1-2. Ness obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jackson connects with a solid leg kick.
Jackson swings for the body but Ness moves out of range.
A punch combination from Jackson misses.
Jackson lands a head shot.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jackson - that will leave a mark!
Jackson is looking to score with low kicks.

Jackson throws a jab when Ness was well out of range.
Ness fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it.
Jackson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Jackson is looking to slow Ness down with leg kicks.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Ness does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jackson feints and then cracks Ness's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ness down.
Ness lands a nice shot to the body.

Ness has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jackson finds it's way round the side to connect with Ness's head.
Ness gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Jackson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ness has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Jackson misses with an uppercut.
Ness stuns Jackson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Jackson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ness manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ness chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jackson can pounce on him.
Jackson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ness has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ness throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jackson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ness misses with a jab to the body
and Jackson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jackson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ness manages to avoid it.
Jackson misses with an uppercut. Ness saw that one coming.
Good leg kick by Jackson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ness avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jackson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ness.
Ness shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jackson pinned against the cage. Jackson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ness drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Ness working the strikes but Jackson uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Jackson looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson manages to get to full guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Ness counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Horrible takedown by Ness or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson which made him look bad.

Ness fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away.
Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ness circles away quickly and effectively.
Ness misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Jackson counters with a leg kick.
A punch lands to the side of Jackson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Ness lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jackson at a distance.

Jackson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ness's calf.

Ness is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Jackson rather than just go for the knockout.

Ness ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ness's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Ness uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jackson.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Jab, jab by Jackson - just one landing.
Jackson lands a jab.
Jackson with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Jackson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ness sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Ness throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ness is in Jackson's guard.

Ness connects with a couple of short punches.
Ness trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ness throws a strike but Jackson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Ness lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jackson!
Mike Ness has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ness lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Jackson blocking the ground and pound.
Ness looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Ness misses with a head shot.
Ness throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jackson because Ness loaded up on that one.

Ness wants to control the pace but Jackson is squirming around nicely.
The referee warns Jackson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Jackson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Ness is landing with some decent strikes but Jackson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Jackson tries to hold on but Ness pushes him away.
Jackson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Ness.
Curtis Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Ness goes for an armbar but Jackson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jackson.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ness is pulling down on Jackson's head. It's preventing any offense from Jackson, at least for the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mike Ness comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jackson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
