Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Terrence Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Rambo!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young gets a clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rambo takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Young keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rambo's efforts to push away.
Rambo goes for a takedown in the clinch but Young prevents it.
Rambo prevents a takedown attempt there.
Rambo has Young pressed against the cage, preventing Young from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Rambo turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Young takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Young is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Young might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Young takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rambo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
You can see the frustration on Young's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Young taking a bit of punishment here - Rambo scoring with strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Young is breathing heavily.
Rambo in side control lands a decent elbow.
Rambo trying to control the action but Young is working from the bottom.
Rambo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rambo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Young takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Rambo is chipping away with strikes.
Rambo tries to advance to mount but Young denies him.
Rambo scoring with punches and elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rambo lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
A big shot lands for Rambo! That's hurt Young! Will he recover? Rambo fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Rambo!
