Kawai comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ace of Spades kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takimoto gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Takimoto walks into a straight right hand from Kawai.
Kawai lands with a nice body punch.
Kawai shoots for a double leg takedown but Takimoto sprawls well. He's pushed Kawai's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kawai tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takimoto was well out of range. Poor timing from Kawai.
Kawai misses with a wild combination.
Kawai avoids the body shot from Takimoto.
Kawai misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Takimoto counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Kekoa Kawai has been cut.
Kawai swings away with a body shot that misses
and Takimoto counters with a straight that turns Kawai's legs to rubber! Takimoto pushes forward with more strikes and Kawai goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
