The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wrench shoots in for a double leg but St Christopher sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Wrench changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. St Christopher tries to avoid it but Wrench manages to keep hold of a leg and drag St Christopher to the ground. St Christopher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Wrench has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, St Christopher has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

No luck with that takedown attempt from Wrench.
Wrench throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. St Christopher tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wrench is in St Christopher's guard.
Wrench drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but St Christopher manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wrench has St Christopher in his guard.
Wrench isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. St Christopher stacks Wrench on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by St Christopher!
St Christopher will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johan St Christopher.
I think Wrench has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
