The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wrench shoots in for a double leg but St Christopher sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wrench changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. St Christopher tries to avoid it but Wrench manages to keep hold of a leg and drag St Christopher to the ground. St Christopher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Wrench scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Wrench tries to pass the half guard into mount. St Christopher knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Wrench not landing any meaningful shots this time. St Christopher regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Wrench. St Christopher is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Wrench throwing strikes but missing. St Christopher doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wrench. Wrench wants to take a breather but St Christopher is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. St Christopher moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Wrench throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as St Christopher works some decent striking defense from the bottom. St Christopher trying to keep a closed guard but Wrench is proving a slippery customer.
Wrench postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Wrench throws a strike but St Christopher rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wrench wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Arm Wrench dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Wrench feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. St Christopher utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Wrench is pushing down on St Christopher's leg trying to pass to half guard. St Christopher is fighting to maintain full guard but Wrench has managed to sneak the leg through. Wrench controlling the pace. Wrench misses with a head shot. St Christopher uses the momentum to regain guard. Wrench throws a big right hand that misses. Wrench is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! St Christopher is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! St Christopher has escaped and now he's on top! Wrench is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Christopher tries to stand but Wrench is controlling from the bottom. Wrench is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wrench is pulling down on St Christopher's head to control his posture. Wrench looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wrench working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. St Christopher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. St Christopher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Wrench wants to sweep but no luck. Wrench has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Wrench working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because St Christopher has passed into half guard!
Wrench is breathing heavily. Wrench is staying active underneath St Christopher, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Wrench is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of St Christopher's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take St Christopher's back! Well, with Wrench on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before St Christopher is tapping out... Can he escape the position? St Christopher wants to get back to his feet. Wrench misses with a punch to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wrench is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but St Christopher has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Wrench has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, St Christopher has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
St Christopher covering up well and avoiding damage. Wrench is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

That's four minutes gone in the round. St Christopher preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Wrench. Wrench misses with a punch to the head. St Christopher has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Wrench. Wrench is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. St Christopher is defending well though. Wrench let's go of the attempt for now. St Christopher is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Wrench gets his way!

Arm Wrench showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wrench. Wrench throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. St Christopher tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wrench is in St Christopher's guard. Wrench drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but St Christopher manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wrench has St Christopher in his guard. Wrench isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. St Christopher stacks Wrench on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by St Christopher! St Christopher will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. St Christopher wants to stand but Wrench has his arm trapped. Arm Wrench has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wrench can't do much from the bottom here. Wrench takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. St Christopher tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Wrench throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Wrench regains half guard. Wrench wants to control but St Christopher is keeping busy and won't allow it. Wrench looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Wrench actively working from the bottom here. Wrench trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Wrench tries to control St Christopher's body but St Christopher pushes him off. Wrench squirms to his side and now St Christopher has his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wrench just trying to survive but St Christopher is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. I really don't envy Wrench right now.
Wrench has hold of St Christopher's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts. Wrench manages to reverse the position and now he's in St Christopher's guard. Nice work there by Wrench.
Wrench drops back, looking for a kneebar! St Christopher looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. St Christopher looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from St Christopher! Wrench is looking for a sweep.

Wrench wants to control but St Christopher postures up. Wrench tries to bench press St Christopher off him but St Christopher keeps the position. St Christopher tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Wrench sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johan St Christopher. I think Wrench has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
