Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Dan Severn will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Kerr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Severn! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Severn shoots in looking for a takedown but Kerr manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Severn's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kerr is breathing heavily. Kerr stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kerr wants it to stay on the feet. Severn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mark Kerr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Severn. Severn is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Severn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kerr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Severn somewhat. Severn tries to clinch but Kerr is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kerr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Severn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kerr but Kerr pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerr gets caught flat footed, as Severn shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Severn wants to control from the top but Kerr keeps moving. Kerr is looking to stand back up but Severn counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kerr. Still in half guard, Severn seems content to control. Kerr scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Severn manages to mount him!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kerr's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Severn sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerr is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Severn tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kerr is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Severn controlling from mount. Severn looking to control but Kerr is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Severn controlling from mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Severn dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mark Kerr's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Severn walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kerr checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Severn shoots in but no luck this time. Severn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kerr's waist but Kerr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Severn off to one side. Severn throws a body punch but Kerr moves out of range. Severn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kerr moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Severn shoots in looking for a takedown but Kerr manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Severn's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Mark Kerr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Severn. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Severn tries for a takedown but Kerr sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kerr closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Severn bucks up and tries to throw Kerr off but instead Kerr has got his back! Severn is trying to stand back up. Kerr cracks Severn with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Severn from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Severn is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kerr with a poor takedown and Severn counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kerr! Kerr is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Severn trying to control but he's not successful this time. Kerr is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Severn trying to control but Kerr is having none of it. Severn won't let Kerr get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Severn controlling the pace for now. Kerr's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Severn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mark Kerr's cut. That's time! Kerr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Severn wants to try and get back to his feet. A nice elbow there by Kerr. Severn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kerr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Severn trying desperately to get to his feet.
Severn is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kerr controlling his opponent. Severn wants to get back to his feet.
Severn bucks Kerr off and manages to get back to his feet! Severn throws a series of punches but Kerr moves out of range. Severn misses with a takedown attempt and Kerr counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kerr. Mark Kerr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Severn. Kerr pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Severn is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Severn is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kerr wants to control from the top but Severn keeps moving. Severn is looking to stand up but Kerr isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kerr slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Mark Kerr has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Severn is trying to buck Kerr off. Kerr lands a decent elbow from side control. Dan Severn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kerr misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Kerr showed his dominance in that final round. I think Severn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
