Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rolf Kross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stien Riech! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kross scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kross in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Kross in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Riech takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Kross cracks Riech with an elbow. That is naaassty. Kross is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Riech has escaped the position, nice work there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kross looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Riech takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kross trying to control the position but Riech is working away. Kross in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Kross is chipping away with strikes.
The ground and pound from Kross seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Kross connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Riech some visible discomfort.
Riech looks gassed! Kross in side control lands a decent elbow. Riech takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Riech takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kross cracks Riech with an elbow. That is naaassty. Kross looks up at the clock and then as Riech takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kross smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kross lands a nice forearm strike. Kross lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Riech down.
Kross working the ground and pound. Riech really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kross. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kross has an Americana. Riech didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Kross is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Kross hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
