Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Inoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nefertum IMHOTEP (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Antonio Inoki has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Antonio Inoki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nefertum IMHOTEP! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! IMHOTEP stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and IMHOTEP wants it to stay on the feet. IMHOTEP darts in and clinches Inoki up against the cage. Inoki is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Inoki drops down looking for an ankle pick but IMHOTEP pulls his leg out and moves away.
Inoki misses with an uppercut. Inoki shoots in but IMHOTEP avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Inoki. That's going to take a lot out of him. IMHOTEP throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Inoki's waist but Inoki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing IMHOTEP off to one side. IMHOTEP tries to close the distance and clinch up but Inoki swats him away and circles back towards the center. IMHOTEP wants to clinch. Inoki tries to clinch and IMHOTEP holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Inoki manages to pull guard.
IMHOTEP stands up from guard. Let's bang! IMHOTEP clinches up against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Inoki's face as he tries to break the clinch. IMHOTEP jumps guard and drags Inoki to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. IMHOTEP wants to stand and escape but Inoki is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. IMHOTEP pushes Inoki off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Inoki closes the distance and clinches up with IMHOTEP, looking for a takedown. Inoki pushes IMHOTEP against the cage but IMHOTEP circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Inoki gets tackled into the cage by IMHOTEP. IMHOTEP maintains the clinch. Nice body punch from IMHOTEP - that landed with a thud.

IMHOTEP pushes Inoki off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Nefertum IMHOTEP seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. IMHOTEP closes the distance and clinches. IMHOTEP manages to break the clinch.
Inoki throws a big shot that misses. IMHOTEP tries to close the distance and clinch up but Inoki swats him away and circles back towards the center. IMHOTEP shoots in looking for a takedown but Inoki manages to keep the fight standing, pushing IMHOTEP's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Inoki fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Inoki is breathing heavily. IMHOTEP pushes Inoki up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. With the fighters up against the cage, IMHOTEP throws an elbow but misses. IMHOTEP is stalling here.
IMHOTEP continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. IMHOTEP unloads a knee to the mid-section. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! IMHOTEP lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Antonio Inoki has been cut. Inoki fails to pull guard.
IMHOTEP gets control of Inoki's arms and successfully pulls guard. IMHOTEP will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. IMHOTEP seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. IMHOTEP can't keep his opponent in guard - Inoki advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. IMHOTEP manages to escape and get back to his feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Inoki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but IMHOTEP circles away quickly and effectively. IMHOTEP closes the distance and clinches. IMHOTEP pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. IMHOTEP closes the distance and clinches. Inoki tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. IMHOTEP just stands there and leans against the cage. IMHOTEP breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round. IMHOTEP using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Inoki has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

IMHOTEP gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. IMHOTEP lands an elbow that stopped Inoki in his tracks for a moment. IMHOTEP pulls guard effortlessly. IMHOTEP is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. IMHOTEP perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. IMHOTEP thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. IMHOTEP throwing shots but Inoki is blocking nicely. IMHOTEP not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. IMHOTEP thows a huge punch but Inoki dodges it nicely.
Inoki is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute IMHOTEP jumps into side control! IMHOTEP tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no IMHOTEP has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nefertum IMHOTEP dominated that round. The cut man is working on Antonio Inoki's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from IMHOTEP. Inoki takes a head kick and keeps coming.

IMHOTEP wants to clinch and Inoki moves into the clinch. IMHOTEP is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Inoki pulls him back up using the underhooks. Inoki fails to pull the fight into his guard.

A nice glancing elbow lands by IMHOTEP. Come on IMHOTEP - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
IMHOTEP lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Still in the clinch, Inoki scores with a nice short uppercut. IMHOTEP is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Inoki pulls him back up using the underhooks. Antonio Inoki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nefertum IMHOTEP. A bit of stalling here from IMHOTEP.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as IMHOTEP takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. IMHOTEP managing to block the knees to the body from Inoki.

IMHOTEP has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Inoki uses from the top position. IMHOTEP is looking for a triangle but Inoki pushes his legs off easily.

IMHOTEP looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. IMHOTEP is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Inoki asserts his dominance and retains side control. IMHOTEP striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
You can see the frustration on IMHOTEP's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. IMHOTEP is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Inoki has just dragged him back down to the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Inoki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but IMHOTEP paws at him with a jab and circles away. IMHOTEP moves into the clinch. IMHOTEP comes over the top with an elbow. Antonio Inoki's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. IMHOTEP throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
IMHOTEP tries to bum rush Inoki with a series of wild strikes but Inoki uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Inoki keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Antonio Inoki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nefertum IMHOTEP. IMHOTEP tries to clinch there but Inoki circles away.

IMHOTEP manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Inoki manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Inoki wants to get up but he can't break IMHOTEP's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. IMHOTEP looking to hit a scissor sweep but Inoki is one step ahead there. IMHOTEP tries to strike from the bottom.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. IMHOTEP has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
And that's the end of the fight! Nefertum IMHOTEP comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well IMHOTEP has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
