And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Machado passes to side control.
Machado tries to move to mount but Joe blocks the move with his legs.
You can see the frustration on Joe's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Machado moves into full mount!
Joe really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Machado looking to secure an arm triangle but Joe defends it well.
Joe bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Joe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Joe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Joe sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Machado's guard.
Joe in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Machado tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Joe!
