The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
TexHuk tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Markov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pasha TexHuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Markov crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from TexHuk - the referee stops the clock and Markov gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says TexHuk. Markov manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Markov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. TexHuk did well to prevent Markov getting side control.

Markov is looking to take a break and control but TexHuk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
TexHuk is trying to stand up here but Markov is controlling him well.

Markov wants to free his trapped foot but TexHuk is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Markov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

TexHuk lands a head kick. Markov smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Markov has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from TexHuk.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Markov turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
TexHuk is trying to buck Markov off.

Markov in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
TexHuk is not content to let Markov control the position.
TexHuk is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Markov is controlling him well.

Markov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by TexHuk, who protects the arm well.
Markov has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for TexHuk!
You get the feeling that TexHuk really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Markov gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Markov tries to score a power double leg takedown but TexHuk sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Markov somewhat.

That was a close second round but I would say that Pasha TexHuk will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pasha TexHuk.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for TexHuk, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
