Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Neguinho Dopastoreio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Carlos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos has chosen Nego drama as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Neguinho Dopastoreio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Carlos! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dopastoreio feints and as Carlos raises his hands in defense, Dopastoreio changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Dopastoreio drops back, looking for a kneebar! Carlos looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Carlos looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Carlos! Carlos trying to control the action but Dopastoreio is working from the bottom. Dopastoreio struggling a bit here. Carlos in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Who's going to make the next move? Carlos misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dopastoreio keeping his opponent close. Dopastoreio is trying to improve his position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Dopastoreio holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Dopastoreio is not content to let Carlos control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Carlos tries to move to mount but Dopastoreio blocks the move with his legs. Carlos is looking to take a break and control but Dopastoreio is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dopastoreio is trying to control Carlos's posture but Carlos avoids it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carlos fails with the takedown and Dopastoreio counters with a shoot takedown. Carlos fights it but they end up in guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dopastoreio looking to pass the guard. Dopastoreio looking to sit in guard and control but Carlos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Carlos slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Carlos working the ground and pound but Dopastoreio is defending the strikes. Carlos is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dopastoreio has escaped the position, nice work there. Dopastoreio parries the strikes from Carlos easily there. Carlos is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dopastoreio to escape.

Carlos trying to control the action but Dopastoreio is working from the bottom. Carlos tries to advance to mount but Dopastoreio denies him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dopastoreio manages to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Good work by Carlos as he checks the leg kick. A telegraphed right hand from Dopastoreio misses the target. Carlos has his takedown stuffed and Dopastoreio counters with a single leg into guard. Carlos didn't expect that. Carlos looking for a guillotine here but Dopastoreio defends easily.
Dopastoreio tries to free his leg and advance position but Carlos is retaining full guard. Dopastoreio advances position into side control! Carlos gets back to half guard. Dopastoreio perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Dopastoreio is trying to work for a kimura but Carlos is defending well.
Carlos won't allow Dopastoreio to pass to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dopastoreio wants to advance to full mount but Carlos doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Carlos tries to land a sweep but no joy. Carlos is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dopastoreio is aware though and is defending well. Dopastoreio looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Dopastoreio postures up.
Dopastoreio forces his way into half guard. Dopastoreio with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dopastoreio is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Carlos defends it well. Dopastoreio is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carlos trying to hold on to Dopastoreio's head to control him but Dopastoreio postures up.
Dopastoreio wants to control but Carlos is keeping him busy. Carlos is trying to get back to full guard. Dopastoreio is keen to just control but Carlos is a slippery customer.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Carlos throws a right and a left that Dopastoreio avoids nicely. Carlos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dopastoreio's guard. Dopastoreio tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dopastoreio has a closed guard, preventing Carlos from standing up. Carlos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Carlos wants to stand but Dopastoreio has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Dopastoreio working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Carlos.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dopastoreio is keeping the position for now. Carlos wants to control from the top but Dopastoreio keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dopastoreio moves into the clinch. Dopastoreio decides to pull guard. Carlos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Carlos throwing strikes from guard but Dopastoreio blocks nicely. Carlos trying to control the position from guard on top but Dopastoreio is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Joao Carlos. Dopastoreio loads up on a big right hand but Carlos slips the punch. Dopastoreio just misses with a punch to the body.
Carlos doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dopastoreio counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dopastoreio. Dopastoreio trying to control the position from guard on top but Carlos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dopastoreio looking to pass the guard. Carlos has his foot on Dopastoreio's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dopastoreio works his way back into a safe position though. Dopastoreio looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dopastoreio stands and throws Carlos's legs to the side, diving into side control. Carlos tries to buck Dopastoreio off but Dopastoreio is having none of it. Carlos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dopastoreio tries to move into full mount but can't pass Carlos's legs. Carlos is trying to control Dopastoreio's posture but Dopastoreio avoids it. Dopastoreio trying to control the position but Carlos is working away. Carlos is trying to improve his position. Dopastoreio tries to move to mount but Carlos blocks the move with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Carlos is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Carlos stops Dopastoreio from passing to mount. Carlos is trying to get back to half guard. Dopastoreio is looking to take a break and control but Carlos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Carlos is looking to regain half guard here but Dopastoreio keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dopastoreio controlling from side mount. Carlos gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Carlos is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dopastoreio wants to control the pace but Carlos is squirming around nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Neguinho Dopastoreio showed his dominance in that final round. Well Dopastoreio has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
