Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Falaris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falaris's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Single Ladies - Brazilian Version. Marcus Falaris has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falaris throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily.
Jones tries to bum rush Falaris with a series of wild strikes but Falaris uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Jones stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Falaris.

Falaris connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jones. Jones circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Falaris uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jones has time to react.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Falaris's shoulder, as Falaris tries to avoid the shot.

Jones takes one to the side of the head.
Falaris tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Falaris uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones.
Falaris throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jones.
Falaris ducks under a wild hook from Jones.
Falaris buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Falaris makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Jones checks the leg kick nicely there.

and Falaris counters with a three punch combo that has Jones backing up. Jones nods at Falaris to acknowledge the strikes.

Jones on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Falaris. Falaris obviously looking to wear him down.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Jones in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Jones lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Good leg kick by Falaris there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Marcus Falaris is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Falaris has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
