Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul McEnre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enzo Macerli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Enzo Macerli!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McEnre swings for the body but Macerli moves out of range.

McEnre closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Macerli did well to prevent McEnre getting side control.
McEnre thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Macerli to regain full guard.
McEnre postures up.
McEnre really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Macerli wants to sweep but no luck.

Macerli working for a triangle but McEnre defends it easily.
Macerli looking to control.
McEnre postures up in Macerli's guard and throws a big left but Macerli blocks it.
McEnre will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
McEnre tries to free his leg and advance position but Macerli is retaining full guard.
McEnre missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Macerli holds on and takes a little breather.

McEnre wants to stand but Macerli has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Macerli is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

McEnre wants to hold on but Macerli pushes him away.

McEnre is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Macerli wants to control from the top but McEnre keeps moving.

McEnre content just to control the position here.
Macerli wants to control but McEnre is having none of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Macerli drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

McEnre tries to buck Macerli off but Macerli is having none of it.

Macerli swings around for an armbar but McEnre sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Macerli's guard.

McEnre drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McEnre jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Macerli is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Macerli throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Macerli has his foot on McEnre's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McEnre works his way back into a safe position though.

Enzo Macerli showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


McEnre misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Macerli.

Macerli feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
McEnre is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
McEnre throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

McEnre wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Macerli is now in half guard.

Macerli stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows McEnre to get to his feet.

and Macerli holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

McEnre turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Macerli tries to buck McEnre off but McEnre is having none of it.
McEnre wants to control but Macerli is keeping him busy.
Macerli tries to get back to half guard but can't.

McEnre tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
McEnre in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Macerli is trying to control McEnre's posture but McEnre avoids it.

McEnre decides to stand up, so the ref orders Macerli to his feet.

McEnre changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Macerli looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Macerli struggling a bit here.

Macerli is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but McEnre has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Macerli defending against the ground and pound.
McEnre just content to control the position.
Macerli tries to control but McEnre manages to take his back.
Macerli is holding onto McEnre's left hand, preventing any choke attempts.
Paul McEnre has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Enzo Macerli is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Paul McEnre showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Macerli has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
