Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikel Pizzero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Sill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Mikel Pizzero has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mikel Pizzero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oliver Sill!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sill keeps the fight on the outside.
Pizzero tries to clinch but Sill moves out of range.
Pizzero fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sill.
Pizzero is trying to control Sill's posture but Sill avoids it.

Sill goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pizzero rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sill's guard! Nice work there by Pizzero!
Pizzero throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Pizzero got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sill has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pizzero has managed to get both his arms back between Sill's legs - danger averted.
Sill wants to sweep here but Pizzero controlling him for the moment.

Sill is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pizzero defends well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pizzero pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sill is keeping the position for now.
Sill manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Sill goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Pizzero turns into him and now he's in Sill's guard.
Sill looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pizzero is one step ahead there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sill lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pizzero!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sill jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Pizzero manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Sill looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Sill is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pizzero has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pizzero wants to control but Sill postures up.
Sill throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Pizzero defending against the ground and pound.
You can see the frustration on Pizzero's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ground and pound from Sill seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Pizzero is looking for a sweep.
Sill creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Pizzero sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Pizzero is breathing heavily.

Sill tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Sill tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sill has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pizzero tries to buck Sill off but Sill is having none of it.
Sill sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Pizzero is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Sloppy strikes there by Sill.

Sill tries for a kimura but Pizzero is defending well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pizzero avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Sill.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oliver Sill dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Sill scores with a takedown into Pizzero's guard.
Pizzero is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Sill drops back looking for a leg! Pizzero is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pizzero manages to kick Sill off! Sill jumps back into Pizzero's guard.
Oliver Sill has got the better of the ground game so far.

Sill is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sill is looking to work some ground and pound but Pizzero has wrist control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pizzero is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Sill throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sill sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pizzero's guard.

Sill has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Pizzero defend it? Sill steps over the head and cranks it - Pizzero is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sill!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Oliver Sill!
