Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Crack Jaws! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, All Inn! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaws throws an overhand right that lands on Inn's shoulder, as Inn tries to avoid the shot. Inn has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Jaws waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Inn. Inn fails to land the takedown. Jaws steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Inn. Jaws with a nice cross. Inn slips a straight right by Jaws. Inn avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Inn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jaws.
Inn staying out of range there. Jaws misses with a straight left. A swing and a miss from Jaws. Jaws throws a hook to the side of Inn's head but Inn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jaws rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Inn moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jaws throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Inn shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jaws manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Inn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Inn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Inn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Inn is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jaws knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Inn on the ground. Inn postures up in Jaws's guard and throws a big left but Jaws blocks it. Inn is pushing down on Jaws's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jaws is fighting to maintain full guard but Inn has managed to sneak the leg through. Jaws is breathing heavily. Inn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jaws sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Inn passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jaws! Jaws is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Inn has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jaws's face.
Inn is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jaws has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Inn throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Jaws has his hands clasped together but Inn breaks the hold and Jaws is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Inn!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). All Inn! All Inn is the new light heavyweight champion!
