Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brett Davids (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Great (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davids's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, "Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brett Davids! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nate Great! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Great displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Davids throws out the jab. Davids connects with a body shot. Davids misses with a lunging right hand
and Davids takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Davids connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Davids loads up on a big right hand but Great slips the punch. Great takes a body punch but keeps moving. Davids swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Great on the wrong end of a nice jab. Davids with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davids works the jab nicely. Davids scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Great doesn't seem bothered though. Davids throws a nice looking combination but Great bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Great throws a right hand that misses
and Davids counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. A looping hook to the body misses from Great. Davids does a little dance to reset his feet. Great with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Davids to score with a decent uppercut. Great takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davids takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Davids fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Great manages to avoid it. Davids swinging wildly here.
Davids throws a body kick that misses. Great defending well as Davids loads up on a big left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davids lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Davids throws a leg kick but Great checks it. Davids misses with the combination.
Great bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Great looks for a takedown but Davids sprawls well. Great takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Great shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Davids defends it nicely. Great takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Great walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Brett Davids seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Davids lands a nice shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brett Davids dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Davids's corner calls for a 1-2. Davids obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Davids lunges at Great with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Great's hand. Great steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Davids. Great rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Davids counters with a one-two to the body. Great tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Davids swivels and escapes. Davids connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Davids ducks under a wild hook from Great.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davids fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Great on the side of the head. Davids fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Great manages to avoid it. Davids throws a right and a left that both miss. Davids misses with an uppercut. Great saw that one coming. Davids thuds his right hand into Great's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Great keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Davids misses with a wild body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Great takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Davids throws a body punch but Great moves out of range. Great misses with a jab to the body
and Davids counters with a stiff right hand. Great misses with an uppercut
and Davids counters with a nice uppercut. Davids bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Great's head backwards. Davids throws a jab when Great was well out of range. Davids rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Great counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Davids!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davids wants to control but Great is having none of it. Great looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Davids's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davids tries to hold on but Great postures up. Great working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Davids is desperately trying to improve his position but Great has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Great tries to control but Davids wriggling away. Great has isolated one of Davids's arms. Davids looking to fight him off but Great twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
