Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Lutter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ti Toot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Lutter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ti Toot!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lutter tries to score with a low kick but Toot moves his leg out of the way.
Lutter misses the shot to the body.
Toot doesn't manage to clinch there - Lutter circles away.

Toot gets tackled into the cage by Lutter. Lutter maintains the clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Lutter is trying to push Toot away but Toot has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Lutter on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Lutter gets underhooks to prevent Toot's takedown attempt.
Toot displaying some good clinch control by pressing Lutter up against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Lutter fails to land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lutter scores with a hook to the body.
Toot is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Lutter gets control of Toot's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lutter will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Lutter wants to stand and escape but Toot is having none of it.
Toot is fighting to break Lutter's control of his arms but Lutter is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lutter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Toot is one step ahead there.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lutter is on top in guard.
Lutter controls from within his opponent's guard.
Toot has his hands on Lutter's head, controlling the position.
Lutter trying to control the position from guard on top but Toot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lutter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Toot swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Toot can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lutter controls the pace.

Nick Lutter has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Toot is looking to clinch.
Lutter tries to clinch there but Toot circles away.

Lutter clinches.

Lutter is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Toot can't fight it off and eventually Lutter manages to take the fight to the floor. Toot looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lutter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Toot is pulling down on Lutter's head. It's preventing any offense from Lutter, at least for the moment.

Toot is working an open guard so Lutter takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Toot wants to clinch up but Lutter keeps it at a distance.

Lutter pushes Toot up against the cage in a clinch.
Lutter wants a takedown.
Toot can't break the clinch.
Toot jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lutter walks away with a smile on his face. Toot gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nick Lutter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ti Toot.

Lutter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Toot did well to prevent Lutter getting side control.
Lutter content to control rather than advance.

Lutter gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Toot has his takedown stuffed

and Lutter counters with a single leg into guard. Toot didn't expect that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Toot has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lutter has passed into side control.
Toot is looking to reverse the position.
Toot really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lutter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lutter decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Lutter is breathing heavily.

Lutter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Toot is trying to defend but Lutter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lutter throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Lutter dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Toot shoots for a double leg takedown but Lutter sprawls well. He's pushed Toot's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Lutter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lutter is stalling in the full guard.
Lutter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Lutter stands up from Toot's guard - Lutter perhaps looking for a knockout.
Toot uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lutter.

Lutter shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lutter showed some decent athleticism there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Toot tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Lutter prevents Toot from improving his position.
Toot is trying to control but can't.
Lutter content to control rather than advance.
Toot wants to control but Lutter is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lutter scoring with strikes to the body and head.

Lutter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lutter lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Toot is looking to control Lutter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Toot avoid being mounted?
Toot wants to sweep but Lutter has passed to side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A lull in the action here as Lutter stalls from top position.
Lutter trying to control the action but Toot is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lutter has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Lutter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Toot shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Lutter counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Nick Lutter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ti Toot.
Toot tries to pull guard but Lutter holds him up against the cage and eventually Toot drops back down to his feet.
Lutter keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Toot's efforts to push away.
Toot prevents the takedown attempt.

Lutter drags the fight down to the ground.

Toot won't allow Lutter to sweep him here.
Toot trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Toot trying to control the position from guard on top but Lutter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nick Lutter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lutter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Lutter stops Toot from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Toot wants to control the action here but instead Lutter manages to pass to full mount!
Lutter is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Lutter postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Toot looks a forlorn figure.
Toot wants to hold on but Lutter pushes him away.
Lutter sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Toot is trying desperately to improve position.
Lutter lands with some strikes.
Toot wants to control but Lutter is having none of it.
Toot is looking to get to half guard.
Lutter lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Lutter is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Toot can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Toot controls the position.
Lutter looking to control and managing it successfully.

Lutter is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Toot can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Toot wants to control but Lutter is having none of it.
Lutter landing strikes from the mount.
Toot tries to lock up and control but Lutter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Toot is just holding on here. Lutter manages to take his back.
Toot is in bad spot here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Toot fending off the submission attempt from Lutter.

Lutter punches the canvas rather than the man.
Ti Toot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nick Lutter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nick Lutter showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lutter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
