Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Bridges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maximus Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyler Bridges!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kane stuffs the takedown attempt from Bridges. Bridges gets slowly back to his feet.

Bridges looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kane is trying to stand up here but Bridges is controlling him well.
Kane is trying to maintain the position but Bridges is very close to passing his half guard.
Kane is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bridges is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Kane tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Bridges trying to mount his opponent but Kane defends it.
Kane keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bridges wants to take a breather but Kane is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bridges tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kane!
Bridges looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kane is fending him off so far but Bridges persists. Nope, Kane circles away and we're back to standing.
Bridges throws a head kick that Kane semi-blocks.
Bridges misses with a straight right.
Bridges falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kane counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Kane gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Bridges counters with a single leg into guard. Kane didn't expect that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kane wants to stand but Bridges is controlling the position.

Kane keeping moving, preventing Bridges from controlling successfully.

Kane has his foot on Bridges's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bridges works his way back into a safe position though.
Bridges prevents Kane from getting back to his feet.
Bridges trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bridges trying to control the position from guard on top but Kane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kane on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kane tries to get out of the position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kane holds on and takes a little breather.
Kane is breathing heavily.

Kane is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bridges prevents Kane from getting back to his feet.

Bridges drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bridges jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bridges's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Kane is pulling down on Bridges's head. It's preventing any offense from Bridges, at least for the moment.
Kane looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Bridges stays in close to Kane's body and controls the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bridges is looking to land body kicks.
Kane takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Maximus Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Bridges.
Bridges displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kane.

Kane tries to sprawl but Bridges drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Bridges controlling the pace.
Bridges is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kane!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bridges trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Kane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bridges on the ground.

Bridges is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kane has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kane!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kane is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyler Bridges dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Kane throws a one two combo.
Bridges pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kane looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bridges is fending him off so far but Kane persists. Nope, Bridges circles away and we're back to standing.
Kane uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bridges.

and Kane counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bridges jabs Kane to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Bridges tries for a takedown but Kane circles away easily

and Kane counters with a shoot takedown. Bridges fights it but they end up in guard.
Kane keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bridges's head.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bridges is on top in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kane wants to stand but Bridges is controlling the position.
Bridges trying to control but Kane is working from the bottom.
Bridges pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kane is keeping the position for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kane is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bridges is aware though and is defending well.

Bridges slips nicely into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bridges is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kane defends it well.

Bridges is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kane sees it coming and defends easily.
Kane looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bridges works his way into full mount!
Kane tries to hold on but Bridges postures up.

Bridges trying to control but Kane is having none of it.
Bridges is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kane can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Kane tries to lock up and control but Bridges gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bridges looking for a guillotine from mount but Kane is having none of it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Bridges looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Kane is wriggling around trying to escape.
Tyler Bridges has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bridges trying to control but Kane is having none of it.
Bridges avoids the attempt from Kane to control.
Bridges throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyler Bridges showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Bridges misses with a takedown
and Kane counters with a three punch combo that has Bridges backing up. Bridges nods at Kane to acknowledge the strikes.
Maximus Kane is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kane dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kane's corner calls for a 1-2. Kane obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Bridges avoids a kick to the body.
Kane closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Kane fails with a takedown attempt.
Bridges throws a combination that misses

and Kane moves into the clinch.

Kane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kane drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bridges takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Kane tries to get to his feet but Bridges is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Kane in his guard.

Bridges wriggles free and stands up.
Bridges shoots and misses
and Kane counters with a leg kick.
A left and a right from Kane both land. Nice combination.
Bridges has his takedown stuffed

and Kane counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Maximus Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Bridges.
Kane prevents a takedown attempt there.

Kane gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Bridges looking to control.
Kane makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Bridges is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kane is controlling him.
Kane is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Kane moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Kane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bridges is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Kane gets to his feet. Bridges looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Kane closes the distance and clinches up with Bridges, looking for a takedown. Kane pushes Bridges against the cage but Bridges circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bridges.
Kane is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bridges throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kane counters with a straight right hand.
Kane scores with a body shot.
Kane is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Kane for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Maximus Kane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tyler Bridges is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kane swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Maximus Kane showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bridges has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
