The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Suzuki shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Faber napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Faber stops Suzuki from passing to mount.
Suzuki wants to stand but Faber has his arm trapped.
Faber regains half guard.
Suzuki not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Suzuki missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Faber is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Suzuki pulls his head out easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Faber is not content to let Suzuki control the position.
Suzuki stalling away here and it's allowed Faber to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Faber preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Faber is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Suzuki stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Faber has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Suzuki manages to get his head free but now Faber has transitioned to an armbar! Suzuki grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Faber! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
