Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hanson comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - No Love. Ramos is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Blur - Song 2. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Hanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Carl Ramos! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramos waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hanson. Ramos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Hanson counters with a right hand to the body. Hanson throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Ramos to counter with a crisp jab. Hanson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hanson throws a shot from downtown. Ramos moves away and avoids it. A big right from Hanson misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramos fails to land with a series of punches.
Ramos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hanson. Hanson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ramos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hanson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A momentary lapse in concentration from Ramos enables Hanson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ramos manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Hanson preventing the sweep. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ramos can do anything to dispel that myth. Ramos trying to keep a closed guard but Hanson is proving a slippery customer.
Hanson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ramos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hanson wants to pass the guard but Ramos is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Ramos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ramos can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hanson controls the pace.

and Hanson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ramos thinking. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Hanson - that will leave a mark!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramos misses with a wild body shot. Hanson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ramos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ramos slips under a jab from Hanson. Hanson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Ramos moves out of range as Hanson strikes. Ramos throws a right and a left that Hanson avoids nicely. Hanson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ramos. Hanson swings and misses with a shot to the body enabling Ramos to counter with a crisp jab. A big right from Hanson misses. Hanson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ramos tries to avoid it but Hanson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ramos to the ground. Ramos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ramos swinging wildly here.
Hanson throws a hook to the side of Ramos's head but Ramos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hanson misses with a shot to the body and Ramos counters with a stiff right hand. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Hanson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ramos checks a leg kick. Ramos lands an overhand right. Hanson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Ramos counters with a two punch combo. Hanson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ramos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Hanson looks to throw the jab but Ramos is out of range. Hanson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Hanson thows a body shot but no joy. Ramos moves out of range of the strikes. Steve Hanson is winning the standup battle so far. Ramos lands a glancing blow to the side of Hanson's head. Ramos takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ramos goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Good standup being displayed there by Hanson as he connects with a hook. Ramos scores with a jab to the head.
Hanson scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Decent striking displayed by Hanson there. Ramos moves out of range of the strikes. Hanson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ramos's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Ramos duly obliges. Hanson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

A telegraphed right hand from Hanson misses the target. Hanson lands with a shot to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hanson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ramos. Hanson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. and Ramos counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ramos feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hansons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Hanson throws a shot from downtown. Ramos moves away and avoids it. Ramos throws a combination that misses and Hanson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hanson loads up on a big right hand but Ramos slips the punch. and Hanson counters with a low kick, right behind Ramos 's knee.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hanson throws a hook to the side of Ramos's head but Ramos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ramos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hanson. Hanson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ramos stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Ramos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A big left from Hanson misses. Hanson misses with an uppercut. Ramos saw that one coming. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hanson throws a hook but Ramos avoids it easily. Ramos throws a series of strikes that have Hanson backpedaling.
Carl Ramos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hanson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
And that's the end of the fight! Steve Hanson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hanson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
