Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magne Midgard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Midgard has chosen Crazy Train as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Midgard throws the kick towards the body but Jones avoids it.
Midgard takes one on the button.
Jones avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jones checks a leg kick.
A head kick misses from Midgard.
Midgard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Midgard is retaining full guard.
Jones throws a strike but Midgard rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Midgard misses with a straight left.
Midgard throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Good leg kick by Midgard there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Jones walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Midgard checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Midgard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Midgard moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The crowd cheers as Midgard lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jones doesn't seem phased though.

Midgard tries to land a front kick but Jones steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard.

Jones drops back, looking for a kneebar! Midgard looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Midgard looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Midgard!
Midgard is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Midgard throws a predictable looking body shot

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Bubba Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
