Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Diego Elvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sahti Waari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elvis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Elvis Presley - In The Ghetto. Waari has chosen SMC Hoodrats - Lähiörotat Skujaa as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Diego Elvis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sahti Waari!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elvis misses with a wild combination.

Elvis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Elvis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Elvis tries to control but Waari wriggling away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Elvis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
You get the feeling that Waari really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Elvis throws a strike there. Waari manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Elvis missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Elvis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Waari's head.
Elvis wants to control but Waari is keeping him busy.
Waari looks like he's trying to stand up.

Elvis is keen to just control but Waari is a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Elvis landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Elvis prevents Waari from standing back up.
Waari avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Elvis.
Elvis is looking to take a break and control but Waari is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Waari manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Elvis throws an overhand right that lands on Waari's shoulder, as Waari tries to avoid the shot.
Elvis fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Waari shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Elvis napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Waari tries for a kimura but Elvis is defending well.
Waari looks gassed!
Elvis sneaks back into half guard.
Elvis is looking to improve his position.
Waari passes the guard and advances to mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Waari trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Elvis is working to get back to half guard.

Waari jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Elvis is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Elvis and Waari has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Elvis takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Elvis tries to improve position but can't.
Waari tries to score with some ground and pound. Elvis controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Waari tries for a kimura but Elvis is defending well.

Waari thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Elvis wants to control but Waari postures up.
Waari grinds an elbow into Elvis's temple.
Elvis gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Elvis tries to get to full guard but Waari has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Diego Elvis will probably get the nod.
That's time! Elvis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Elvis defending well as Waari loads up on a big left hand.
Elvis works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Elvis misses with a hook. Waari ducked under it nicely.
Sahti Waari is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Elvis jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Elvis misses with an uppercut.
Waari rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Elvis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Waari wants to clinch.
Elvis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Elvis lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Sahti Waari has been cut.
Waari doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Waari is breathing heavily.
Waari misses with a combination
and Elvis counters with a right hand to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Waari has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Waari moves out of range as Elvis strikes.
Waari misses with a double jab
and Elvis counters with a straight right hand.
Elvis lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Elvis misses with a straight left.
Waari ducks right into an uppercut from Elvis.
Elvis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Waari misses with a takedown
and Elvis makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Elvis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Waari counters with a stiff right hand.
A jab from Elvis finds it's way through Waari's defenses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Elvis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Elvis thuds his right hand into Waari's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Elvis lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


Waari is rocked!
Elvis drops Waari with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Waari! Elvis dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diego Elvis!
