Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Blisner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blisner comes to the cage accompanied by Garth Brooks- Friends in Low Places. Mendez has chosen Three Days Grace - Are You Ready? as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Kirk Blisner has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kirk Blisner seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blisner misses with a head kick.
Mendez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blisner paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Blisner. That's going to slow Mendez down.
Blisner throws a nice looking combination but Mendez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Mendez is rocked!

It looks like Charlie Mendez has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Mendez is still in real trouble! Can Blisner finish him?

That has opened up Charlie Mendez's cut even more.
Blisner lands a heavy elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The cut above Charlie Mendez's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Blisner controlling the position easily from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blisner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mendez for as long as he can get away with.
Blisner lands a big shot there that rocks Mendez but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Charlie Mendez's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Charlie Mendez's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
