Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose PEGADOR!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Skinny Boy!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
PEGADOR tries to clinch there but Boy circles away.
PEGADOR throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Boy tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. PEGADOR is in Boy's guard.
Boy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
PEGADOR knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Boy on the ground.
Boy looking for a guillotine here but PEGADOR defends easily.
Boy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
PEGADOR cracks Boy with a solid left hand.
PEGADOR trying to control but Boy is working from the bottom.
Boy striking off his back but it's not causing PEGADOR any problems.
Boy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. PEGADOR doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. PEGADOR manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Boy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
PEGADOR trying to control the position from guard on top but Boy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boy is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! PEGADOR rolls with it to try and escape but Boy cranks on the arm and PEGADOR is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
