The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardgrave paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Hardgrave might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Batista has got the better of the exchanges.

Batista is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hardgrave can do to turn this around?
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Batista lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hardgrave has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hardgrave and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nice defenses there by Batista.
Hardgrave closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Batista is staying active underneath Hardgrave, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Batista, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
