Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Odayr Shurlt! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabrille Hurronona! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hurronona shoots and misses and Shurlt counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Shurlt controlling the action here. Hurronona tries to kick Shurlt off but Shurlt keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shurlt seems to be working for a kimura but Hurronona defends the submission attempt. Shurlt takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Hurronona has one foot on Shurlt's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Shurlt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Shurlt lands in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shurlt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Shurlt looking to pass the guard. Hurronona wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Shurlt engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Shurlt tries to free his leg and advance position but Hurronona is retaining full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Shurlt moves into the clinch. Hurronona takes a knee to the side of the body. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Hurronona throws a knee to the head but misses.
A frustrated look appears on Hurronona's face as he tries to break the clinch. Hurronona struggles to land a body shot inside as Shurlt controls his hands.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hurronona avoids a wild elbow strike from Shurlt. Shurlt is stalling here.
Hurronona changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Shurlt fights it off and pushes away nicely.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Hurronona has eaten all the pies! Shurlt clinches up with Hurronona and pushes him back against the cage. Shurlt lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Shurlt controlling the pace. Shurlt is pressing down on Hurronona's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hurronona is holding on for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shurlt with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hurronona is trying to stand back up but Shurlt is controlling him

We're going to have a standup here because Odayr Shurlt wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Hurronona has his takedown stuffed and Shurlt counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Shurlt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Odayr Shurlt dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Hurronona misses with a body kick. A right-left combo lands from Shurlt. Hurronona has his takedown stuffed and Shurlt counters with a takedown into side control. Shurlt content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Hurronona prevents Shurlt from improving position. Shurlt working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurronona tries to buck Shurlt off but Shurlt is having none of it. Shurlt slows the pace down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Odayr Shurlt. Shurlt decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Shurlt seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Hurronona wants to control but Shurlt is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hurronona is trying to control but Shurlt passes into side control!
Shurlt slows the pace down. Hurronona is trying to buck Shurlt off. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shurlt has knee on belly and moves into mount. Shurlt sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hurronona is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Odayr Shurlt dominated that second round. That's time! Shurlt's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hurronona closes the distance but Shurlt moves to the side and Shurlt counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Shurlt. Hurronona looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Shurlt seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Shurlt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hurronona wants to stand up but Shurlt is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurronona looking to control but Shurlt passes into half guard.
Shurlt wants to pass the guard but Hurronona is defending well. Shurlt sitting and controlling from the half guard. Shurlt wants to work for an arm triangle but Hurronona is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hurronona trying to control from the bottom.

Shurlt takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hurronona in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Shurlt controlling the position easily from mount. Shurlt has isolated one of Hurronona's arms. Hurronona looking to fight him off but Shurlt twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
