PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafi El Cunhado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyka comes to the cage accompanied by Supersonic by Bad Religion. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Cunhado tries to clinch there but Boyka circles away.
El Cunhado stuffs the takedown.

The fight stays on the outside here - El Cunhado looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
El Cunhado tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boyka paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Boyka shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in El Cunhado's guard.

El Cunhado wants to get back to his feet but Boyka is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Well, if Boyka is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Boyka's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Horrible takedown by Boyka or perhaps it was just good defense by El Cunhado which made him look bad.

Boyka changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. El Cunhado looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The referee warns El Cunhado that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Boyka has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Boyka! El Cunhado is hurt baaadly! Boyka is firing away with more strikes - El Cunhado is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
