Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mr E (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ackeem Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mr E!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ackeem Bailey!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
E lands with a right hand.
E with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Nice body punch from E.

E clinches up against the cage.
Bailey drops to a knee looking for a takedown but E gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bailey lands a right hand.
Bailey is leaning against E and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Bailey is trying to force a seperation but E has the dominant position.
E looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

E tries to throw a body punch but Bailey avoids it by throwing E back against the cage.

Bailey breaks the clinch.
E throws a push kick but Bailey slaps the foot to one side.

Bailey has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed E clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bailey is trying to stick to E's back but E is turning into Bailey. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bailey's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by E.
Bailey has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bailey wriggles free and stands up.
E tries to close the distance and clinch but Bailey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
E blocks a jab.
Mr E seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
E lands a jab to Bailey's midsection.
Bailey throws a body punch but E moves out of range.
E lands a high kick!
E misses the shot to the body.
E bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Bailey checks a low kick from E.
E connects with a nice looking jab.
E avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big left from E misses.
E misses with a kick to the body.
A cross from Bailey lands.
Bailey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by E.
E throws a nice outside leg kick.

Bailey throws a hook but E avoids it easily.
E lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
E misses the body punch
and Bailey finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

E lands a leg kick that knocks Bailey off balance momentarily.

E fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bailey tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but E was well out of range. Poor timing from Bailey.

E avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
E wants to land a leg kick but Bailey is out of range.
E slips under a jab from Bailey.
E fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bailey has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bailey dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
E wants to clinch.
Bailey misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from E.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bailey on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Bailey looks gassed!
Bailey just misses with a punch to the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by E. That's going to slow Bailey down.
E is looking to clinch but Bailey is avoiding it.
Bailey takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

E avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bailey cracks E with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Bailey keeps the fight on the outside.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and E makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
E dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bailey's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A nice inside leg kick there by E. That's going to slow Bailey down.
A head kick from E lands but Bailey takes it in his stride.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mr E dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


E feints and then cracks Bailey's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bailey down.
A head kick from E lands but Bailey takes it in his stride.
E wants to clinch.
Bailey takes one on the button.
E lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bailey throws a sloppy head kick
and E counters with a three punch combo that has Bailey backing up. Bailey nods at E to acknowledge the strikes.
E displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bailey throws out the jab.
E throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bailey's head.


Bailey is rocked!
E drops Bailey with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Bailey! E dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (strikes). Mr E!
