Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson's entrance music is Amazing - (Kanye West). A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Justin Hicks! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hicks misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Johnson throws a shot from downtown. Hicks moves away and avoids it. Johnson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Johnson lands a nice hook to Hicks's body. Hicks takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Hicks has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Justin Hicks has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Johnson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Johnson is breathing heavily. Hicks keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hicks shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely. Hicks misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sean Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Hicks. Hicks keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Johnson thuds a left hand into Hicks's body. Hicks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Hicks persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing. Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hicks moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Johnson displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Hicks fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sean Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Johnson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hicks. Hicks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily. Hicks clinches. Hicks breaks the clinch.

Johnson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Hicks scores with a push kick. Hicks closes the distance and pushes Johnson back into the cage. Hicks fails to pull guard.

Hicks keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Johnson's efforts to push away. Hicks crunches a lovely knee into Johnson's ribcage. Johnson takes a knee right on the jaw!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hicks pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A head kick from Hicks lands but Johnson takes it in his stride. Hicks tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Johnson stuffs the takedown attempt from Hicks. Hicks gets slowly back to his feet. Johnson moves forwards but Hicks connects with a nice, crisp jab. Hicks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily. Hicks cracks a nice hook into Johnson's ribs. Hicks punishes Johnson's body with a nice straight punch. Hicks tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Johnson swivels and escapes. Johnson is looking to wear down Hicks with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Hicks tries to shoot in for a takedown. Hicks takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hicks fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Johnson avoids it really well and circles away. Hicks is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johnson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hicks shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Johnson lands a nice shot that snaps Hicks's head back.

Johnson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Sloppy strikes from Johnson. Those never looked like landing. Hicks shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hicks dodges the punch combination from Johnson.
Sean Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hicks scores with a hook to the body. Johnson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hicks scores with a head kick.
Hicks turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Hicks bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Johnson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hicks. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hicks. Hicks is trying desperately to land a takedown but Johnson is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Hicks. Johnson scores with a jab to the jaw. Johnson throws a jab when Hicks was well out of range. Johnson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hicks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Hicks persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing. Hicks shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Johnson sprawls well. Johnson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hicks gets slowly back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson misses with a two punch combination.
Hicks moves into the clinch successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Johnson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Justin Hicks's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hicks taking a breather. Johnson is trying to push Hicks away but Hicks has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Hicks crunches a lovely knee into Johnson's ribcage. Hicks wants a takedown.
Hicks jumps guard but Johnson stands there with Hicks around his waist. Hicks gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sean Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Hicks. Johnson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Hicks has Johnson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Johnson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hicks tries for a takedown but Johnson manages to get underhooks.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hicks wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hicks tries to pull guard but Johnson won't allow it.
Hicks pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sean Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Johnson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hicks can pounce on him.
Johnson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hicks rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Hicks is trying to drag Johnson to the mat but Johnson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Hicks has had enough of the clinch but Johnson keeps him there for the moment. Hicks tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Johnson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hicks smiles and moves away.
Johnson catches Hicks with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Johnson has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Johnson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Sean Johnson is winning the standup battle so far. Johnson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Johnson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hicks connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Johnson scrambles back to his feet. Hicks shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hicks has managed to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hicks lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Johnson backwards. Johnson wants to get back to striking at distance but Hicks won't allow it.
Hicks jumps into guard, dragging Johnson to the mat.
Johnson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Johnson forces his way into half guard. Johnson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Hicks is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
