Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ford Prefect (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Maddox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prefect comes to the cage accompanied by Mos Def - Mathematics. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maddox tries to close the distance and clinch but Prefect swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Maddox is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Maddox moves in looking to clinch but Prefect pushes him off.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Prefect lands with an uppercut that bounces Maddox off the cage and back into rage.

Prefect lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Prefect is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Maddox tries to clinch up but Prefect circles away and keeps his distance.
Prefect turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Prefect is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Prefect throws out a loose jab but Maddox uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nice uppercut lands for Prefect. That snapped Maddox's head back.
Ford Prefect seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

I've got Maddox winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
