Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Koscheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blaze Ronin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blaze Ronin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Josh Koscheck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Blaze Ronin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Ronin.
Koscheck fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Koscheck is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ronin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ronin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ronin wants it to stay on the feet.

Ronin digs a right hand into Koscheck's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Koscheck's gas tank.

Koscheck has Ronin pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ronin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Ronin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Koscheck's guard.

Ronin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Koscheck keeping moving, preventing Ronin from controlling successfully.
Ronin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Ronin wants to control from the top but Koscheck keeps moving.

Ronin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Koscheck swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ronin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Koscheck manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ronin has Koscheck in his guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Ronin has Koscheck pulled in close to control his posture.
Koscheck trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Koscheck thows a big elbow that misses.

Koscheck got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ronin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Koscheck has managed to get both his arms back between Ronin's legs - danger averted.
Ronin wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Ronin wants to sweep here but Koscheck controlling him for the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Koscheck chips away with some ground and pound.
Koscheck tries to free his leg and advance position but Ronin is retaining full guard.

Koscheck shoots in and bounces Ronin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Ronin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Koscheck doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Koscheck manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Koscheck is looking to advance position but Ronin has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Koscheck is squirming around, avoiding Ronin's attempts to control the action.

Ronin is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Koscheck has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Koscheck!

Ronin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Koscheck is aware though and is defending well.
Koscheck lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Ronin prevents Koscheck from getting the reversal.
Ronin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ronin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Koscheck is on top in guard.

Koscheck shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ronin but Ronin pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Ronin has managed to clinch.
Ronin comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Ronin gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Ronin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Blaze Ronin wasn't active enough on the ground.

Koscheck throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ronin's waist but Ronin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Koscheck off to one side.

Koscheck misses with a takedown attempt - Ronin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ronin thuds a left hand into Koscheck's body.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ronin, right into the meat.
Ronin lands a nice looking kick to the body. Koscheck takes a step back to recover.
Ronin lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Koscheck shoots in but no luck this time.

Ronin takes the fight into the clinch.
Ronin lands a nice elbow.
Koscheck is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ronin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Ronin is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Blaze Ronin seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Ronin has his feet on Koscheck's thighs here. He's pushed Koscheck off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Koscheck screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
