The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nover tries to clinch up
and LoamHedge counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

LoamHedge closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nover quickly recovers to half guard.
LoamHedge looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

LoamHedge is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nover defends it well.

LoamHedge postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Nover looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

LoamHedge is working for a guillotine from mount but Nover frees his head quite easily.
Nover is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Zolloo LoamHedge just wasn't active enough.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

LoamHedge closes the distance and clinches up with Nover, looking for a takedown. LoamHedge pushes Nover against the cage but Nover circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

LoamHedge lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

LoamHedge stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
LoamHedge stays in close to Nover's body and controls the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
LoamHedge throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nover works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
LoamHedge is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Zolloo LoamHedge.
The fight stays on the outside here - Nover looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

LoamHedge throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nover was covering up waiting for the punch and LoamHedge finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Nover is working an open guard so LoamHedge takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Nover throws a combination but it was largely blocked by LoamHedge.

LoamHedge closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
LoamHedge lands some shots froms side control.

LoamHedge thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
LoamHedge wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nover keeps working.

LoamHedge decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nover to his feet.

That's time! LoamHedge's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

and Nover counters with a left and a right that stings LoamHedge.

and Nover counters with a three punch combo that has LoamHedge backing up. LoamHedge nods at Nover to acknowledge the strikes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from LoamHedge.

LoamHedge bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nover is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

LoamHedge wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nover, who protects the arm well.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
LoamHedge has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Nover is looking to regain half guard here but LoamHedge keeps moving and retains side control.
Nover managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by LoamHedge.

LoamHedge is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nover has escaped the position, nice work there.
LoamHedge is putting a hurting on Nover here, landing some big shots from side control.
LoamHedge postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
You can see the frustration on Nover's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nover can do anything to dispel that myth.
