Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Nolan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nolan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Truth. Robert Nolan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Nolan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stefan Miller! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nolan throws the left hand but Miller avoids the punch easily. Nolan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Miller quickly recovers to half guard. Nolan tries to pass to full mount but Miller defends it. Nolan keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Nolan decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Miller misses with a takedown attempt and Nolan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Miller shoots in and drives through. Nolan sprawls well. Nolan looks to land a right hand but Miller moved out of range. Nolan misses with a straight left. Miller connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Nolan to the floor! Miller dives in looking for the finish!
It looks like Robert Nolan has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nolan misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Nolan is trying to get back to full guard. Nolan has one foot on Miller's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Miller slips a straight right by Nolan. Miller closes the distance and clinches up with Nolan, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes Nolan against the cage but Nolan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Robert Nolan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stefan Miller. A swing and a miss from Nolan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nolan defends it nicely. Miller looks gassed! Nolan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Miller. Robert Nolan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good shot there by Nolan. Horrible takedown by Nolan or perhaps it was just good defense by Miller which made him look bad. Miller with a lazy takedown attempt and Nolan counters with a body kick. Nolan throws an overhand right that lands on Miller's shoulder, as Miller tries to avoid the shot. Nolan throws a looping overhand right but Miller ducks down to avoid it. Nolan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Miller slaps away a takedown attempt from Nolan, before circling back to the center of the mat. Miller shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nolan sprawls well. Nolan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Miller gets slowly back to his feet. A decent looking cross lands there for Nolan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller lands with a slapping head kick. Miller with a poor takedown and Nolan counters with a single leg into guard. Miller didn't expect that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nolan trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom. Miller being controlled here, momentarily. Miller wants to stand but Nolan is controlling the position. Nolan controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Nolan postures up in Miller's guard and throws a big left but Miller blocks it. Nolan wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving.
We're going to have a standup here because Robert Nolan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Miller has his takedown stuffed and Nolan counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Miller! Nolan looking to ground and pound but Miller is blocking nicely. Nolan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Miller is looking to escape. Miller wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Nolan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nolan trying to control but he's not successful this time. Nolan controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miller throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nolan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Miller is in Nolan's guard. Miller decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. A looping hook to the body misses from Nolan. Miller does a little dance to reset his feet. Miller scores with a head kick.

Miller closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nolan did well to prevent Miller getting side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Nolan misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Miller lands with a punch from half guard. Miller thows a huge punch but Nolan dodges it nicely.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Nolan lands with a few short shots to the body. Miller stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Miller uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nolan. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Miller gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nolan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nolan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Nolan trying to control the position from guard on top but Miller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nolan is looking to work some ground and pound but Miller has wrist control. Nolan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Miller works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Miller keeping moving, preventing Nolan from controlling successfully. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Nolan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Nolan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Nolan looking to sit in guard and control but Miller gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Nolan has momentary wrist control but Miller slips an elbow through the middle. Miller landing with the ground and pound. Nolan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Miller is in close to Nolan's body, working some short punches and elbows. Robert Nolan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Miller stands and throws Nolan's legs to the side, diving into side control. Nolan takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Miller loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Miller trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Nolan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Miller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Miller stops Nolan from standing up. Stefan Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Robert Nolan's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Robert Nolan wasn't doing enough on the ground. Miller lands a jab to Nolan's midsection. Miller fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. The fighters circling - Nolan throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Miller looks for a takedown but Nolan sprawls well. Nolan tries to close the distance and clinch but Miller swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nolan slaps away a takedown attempt from Miller, before circling back to the center of the mat. Miller uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nolan. Nolan misses with a takedown attempt - Miller sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nolan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nolan wants it to stay on the feet. Robert Nolan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stefan Miller.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Robert Nolan. I think Nolan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
