Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bo Banks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jjang Shin! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks slaps away a takedown attempt from Shin, before circling back to the center of the mat. Banks pivots, looking for a leg kick but Shin is out of range and Banks settles back down. Shin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Shin avoids the head kick by Banks.
Banks feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Shin's calf. Banks thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Shin if he has to take too many more of those.
Shin looks gassed! Banks tries to score with a low kick but Shin moves his leg out of the way. Banks thows a body kick. Shin tries to catch it but that hurt him. Banks tries to land a front kick but Shin steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from Banks. Banks throws a body kick that misses. Banks throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Banks scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Shin checks a leg kick. Banks pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Banks pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Shin avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shin shoots in looking for a takedown. Banks tries to sprawl out of it but Shin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Banks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bo Banks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jjang Shin. A nice leg kick lands there from Banks. Banks misses with a low kick. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Shin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Banks - the referee stops the clock and Shin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Banks. Shin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Bo Banks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Banks lands a nice leg kick that just misses Shin's sensitive parts. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Banks scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Banks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A decent looking body kick lands there for Banks. Banks throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Jjang Shin has been cut. Banks dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shin. That did some damage! Banks chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Banks tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Shin on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Banks. Banks obviously looking to wear him down.

Banks misses with a low kick as Shin jumps back. Shin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Banks motions for Shin to come forward. Banks throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Shin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Banks wants to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Shin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Banks. Jjang Shin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Banks is looking to score with low kicks. Banks throws a low kick, looking for Shin's leg but Shin calmly moves out of range. Banks misses with a low kick.
A head kick misses from Banks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Banks pinned against the cage. Banks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Shin is breathing heavily. Banks misses with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Banks tries to score with a low kick but Shin moves his leg out of the way. Banks uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shin. Shin checks a low kick from Banks. Banks stuffs the takedown attempt from Shin. Shin gets slowly back to his feet. Banks lands a front kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shin avoids a kick to the body.
Horrible takedown by Shin or perhaps it was just good defense by Banks which made him look bad. Bo Banks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jjang Shin. A leg kick checked by Shin. Crunch! Banks slams his shin into Shin's torso. Banks throws a front kick aimed at Shin's knee but Shin avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shin takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Good leg kick by Banks there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Banks connects with a leg kick. Shin looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Banks throws a nice outside leg kick. Banks throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Banks thumps Shin with a low kick. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Banks. Shin shrugs it off though. Banks throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shin on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Banks. Banks obviously looking to wear him down.
Banks throws a nice inside leg kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Banks throws a nice head kick!
Bo Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Banks throws a chopping leg kick but Shin manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Banks cracks the inside of Shin's front leg. Banks is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shin can do to turn this around? Banks attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Banks misses with a head kick.

Banks throws a body kick that misses. Banks throws a sloppy head kick and Shin moves out of range easily. Banks throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Shin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Banks has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Banks and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Banks throws a leg kick but Shin sees it coming and moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shin closes the distance and clinches up with Banks, looking for a takedown. Shin pushes Banks against the cage but Banks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Banks misses with a low kick.
Shin shoots for a double leg takedown but Banks sprawls well. He's pushed Shin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Shin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Banks.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Banks - that will leave a mark!
Banks throws a low kick, looking for Shin's leg but Shin calmly moves out of range. A good leg kick by Banks. Shin's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Banks wants to slow Shin down by chopping away at his legs. A nice leg kick lands there from Banks. Banks scores with a push kick. Shin has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Banks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bo Banks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jjang Shin. Banks misses with a low kick as Shin jumps back. Banks throws a head kick that Shin semi-blocks.

Shin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Banks stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Banks wants it to stay on the feet.

A nice leg kick lands there from Banks. Banks fakes the leg kick and cracks Shin in the body. Banks dodges the punch combination from Shin.
Shin blocks a leg kick. Shin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Banks but Banks pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bo Banks is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Banks wants it to stay on the feet. Jjang Shin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Shin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Banks scores with a nice body kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Bo Banks showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Banks, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
