Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chu Young Park!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from snot. Park does a little dance to reset his feet.
Park tries to close the distance and clinch up but snot swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Park stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from snot.
Park throws a head kick that misses.
snot fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Park circles away from the clinch attempt.

Park misses with the combination.
Chu Young Park seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

snot closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
snot is just content to waste time from the top position. Park takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
snot throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Park works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Park using the Thai plumb to throw knees but snot has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Park has a couple of punches blocked by snot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Park is not content to let snot control the position.

and Park counters with a good, hard body kick but snot shrugs it off.
Good exchange - Park coming out on top.
Park swings away with a body shot that misses
and snot counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
snot shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Park as he jumps to the side.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

and snot counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Park thinking.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

snot swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Park is now in snot's guard. A big mistake from snot there, giving up the dominant position!

Park is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

snot is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Park would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting snot here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

snot thows a huge punch but Park dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
snot prevents Park from improving his position.

snot is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Park is just riding it out for now. snot eventually gives up the hold.

Park wants to get back to full guard.
Park on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Park is staying active underneath snot, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

snot is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
snot is pressing down on Park's thigh, looking to free his foot. Park is holding on for now.
Park makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Park.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Park keeping moving, preventing snot from controlling successfully.
snot tries to free his leg and advance position but Park is retaining full guard.
snot is pushing down on Park's leg trying to pass to half guard. Park is fighting to maintain full guard but snot has managed to sneak the leg through.
snot frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Park takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

snot wants to control the pace but Park is squirming around nicely.
Park keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Park is squirming around, avoiding snot's attempts to control the action.

snot moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Park has worked his arm free - good work by Park!

snot is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Park is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
snot misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Park can't do much from the bottom here.
Park is looking for a sweep.
snot tries to move to mount but Park blocks the move with his legs.
Park gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
snot content just to control the position here.

And that's the end of the fight!
piet snot showed his dominance in that final round.
