Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Steve Stiffler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Randy Davis!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stiffler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick misses from Stiffler.
Stiffler is looking to clinch.
Stiffler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Davis but Davis pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Davis.

Davis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Davis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stiffler is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Stiffler is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Davis is controlling him well.
Davis scoring with punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davis cracks Stiffler with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Davis trying to control the action but Stiffler is working from the bottom.
Davis wants to control for a moment but Stiffler uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis is looking to improve his position.
Davis trying to hold on to Stiffler's head to control him but Stiffler postures up.
Davis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Davis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stiffler's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stiffler's back!
Davis is trying to stick to Stiffler's back but Stiffler is turning into Davis. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Davis's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Stiffler.

Davis has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Stiffler is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Davis.
Davis looks gassed!
Davis seems a little lost for a moment, as Stiffler dominates the positioning.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Davis looking for a sweep but Stiffler has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Davis is wriggling around trying to escape.

Stiffler goes for an armbar but Davis turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Davis.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Davis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Stiffler looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Stiffler looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Stiffler!
Stiffler happy to just control the position for now.
Davis regains half guard.
Davis slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Davis has his feet on Stiffler's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Steve Stiffler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Davis looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Stiffler!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Davis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stiffler's face.

Davis swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
