Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Majik Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Mera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalashnikov comes into the arena with Bang Bang Punisher (dre& methodman) blaring out of the sound system. Mera has chosen The Automatic - Monster as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Majik Kalashnikov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Danny Mera! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Mera. Kalashnikov wants to control but Mera postures up. Mera throwing shots but missing, from side control. The ground and pound from Mera seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Mera is working Kalashnikov over with some ground and pound from side control. Mera working the ground and pound. Kalashnikov managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Mera.

Kalashnikov trying to control the position from guard on top but Mera is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mera has his hands on Kalashnikov's head, controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kalashnikov won't allow Mera to sweep him here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kalashnikov tries for a takedown but Mera circles away easily and Mera counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Mera is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Mera stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kalashnikov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mera stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mera shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kalashnikov's guard. Kalashnikov keeping moving, preventing Mera from controlling successfully. Mera stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kalashnikov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kalashnikov working a defensive guard here.
Mera stands up over Kalashnikov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kalashnikov wants to stand up but Mera is controlling him. Mera scoring with punches to the head and body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Mera dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Mera closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kalashnikov quickly recovers to half guard. Mera throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Mera with the ground and pound but Kalashnikov uses the opportunity to regain guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mera throws a strike but Kalashnikov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Danny Mera has got the better of the ground game so far. Mera manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Danny Mera showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Mera lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mera must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mera throwing strikes but missing. Mera slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Mera postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Mera gets to his feet - Kalashnikov follows without any prompting. Kalashnikov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mera works Kalashnikov's body with a nice hook. Kalashnikov misses with a takedown attempt and Mera holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Mera lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Mera is pressed up against the cage. Kalashnikov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mera down to the mat. Mera avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Majik Kalashnikov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mera drives through and clinches with Kalashnikov against the cage.
Mera turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Mera lands some shots froms side control. Kalashnikov takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kalashnikov is not content to let Mera control the position. Mera is putting a hurting on Kalashnikov here, landing some big shots from side control. Mera lands an elbow. Kalashnikov is looking to reverse the position. Kalashnikov gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mera cracks Kalashnikov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Majik Kalashnikov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Danny Mera is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mera lands a nice shot to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Danny Mera comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mera has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
