Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rafhael Angeles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, chris hitter! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! hitter has closed the distance and engaged Angeles in a clinch.
hitter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Angeles has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. hitter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. hitter decides to pull guard. hitter pulls Angeles in close to his closed guard and prevents Angeles from doing any damage or advancing position. hitter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Angeles is one step ahead there. hitter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Angeles trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. hitter looking for a guillotine here but Angeles defends easily.
Angeles postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Angeles passes into half guard. hitter is in trouble now - Angeles has advanced to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. hitter tries to hold on but Angeles pushes him away. Angeles postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. hitter looks a forlorn figure.
Angeles throwing strikes here but hitter is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Angeles working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Angeles breaks from hitter's wrist control and lands an elbow. Angeles is going oldschool here, as he tries to force hitter to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so hitter shrugs it off. Angeles looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. A nice elbow there by Angeles. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Angeles looking to ground and pound but hitter is blocking nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. hitter in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Angeles is working for a guillotine from mount but hitter frees his head quite easily.

Angeles dominating with strikes here. hitter wants to control but Angeles is having none of it. Angeles scores with a couple of good head shots there.
hitter tries to lock up and control but Angeles gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. hitter looks gassed! hitter is desperately trying to improve his position but Angeles has a good base and remains in mount. Angeles cracks hitter with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Angeles lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. hitter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Angeles. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. hitter takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Angeles is working for a guillotine from mount but hitter frees his head quite easily.
Angeles prevents hitter from getting the reversal. hitter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Angeles scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish hitter?
Angeles looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. hitter defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Angeles. hitter tries to reverse the position but Angeles maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Angeles lands a nice shot to the head. Angeles swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
