The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Venturia.
No joy there for Rekdal, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Venturia uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rekdal.
Rekdal takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Thorbjorn Rekdal has been cut.
Rekdal misses with the combination.
Venturia cracks Rekdal with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Venturia has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rekdal to stand back up!
Rekdal is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rekdal connects with a combination that backs up Venturia into the cage. Rekdal lands a flurry of punches that gets past Venturia's guard. Venturia is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Rekdal bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
