Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yamada Taiki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isamu Minowa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minowa comes into a darkened arena with his song building. One Minute in Heaven kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Yamada Taiki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taiki misses with a wild body shot. Isamu Minowa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Minowa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Taiki swivels and escapes. Minowa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Minowa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Minowa working away. Minowa in side control, just content to control the action for now. I looks like Minowa might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Minowa wants to control but Taiki is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Taiki's face as Minowa controls the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Minowa sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Taiki is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Taiki on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Taiki tries to get out of the position. Taiki parries the strikes from Minowa easily there. Minowa is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Taiki to escape.
Minowa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Minowa in side control, just content to control the action for now. Minowa cracks Taiki with a big right hand but Taiki just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Taiki being controlled for a moment. Minowa wants to control but Taiki is keeping him busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Isamu Minowa was stalling too much, according to the referee. Taiki stuffs the takedown. Yamada Taiki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isamu Minowa. Taiki stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Taiki wants it to stay on the feet. Minowa avoids the head kick by Taiki.
Minowa cracks Taiki with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Taiki pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Minowa takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Isamu Minowa has been cut. Minowa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Taiki. Minowa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Taiki as he jumps to the side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Minowa darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Minowa looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Minowa trying to control from Taiki's half guard. Taiki has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Minowa trying to control the position from guard on top but Taiki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Taiki manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Isamu Minowa dominated that round. The cut man is working on Isamu Minowa's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Minowa tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Taiki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Taiki throws a hook but Minowa blocks it. Nice takedown defense from Taiki. No joy for Minowa on that attempt. Minowa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Taiki is fending him off so far but Minowa persists. Nope, Taiki circles away and we're back to standing. Taiki lands with a kick to the temple. Minowa shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" A left lands for Taiki. Taiki keeps Minowa at a distance using the push kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Taiki. That's going to slow Minowa down. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Minowa sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Taiki has managed to clinch.
Taiki has Minowa pushed against the ropes. Minowa blocks an elbow strike. Minowa is breathing heavily. Minowa drops down looking for an ankle pick but Taiki pulls his leg out and moves away.
Yamada Taiki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isamu Minowa.
That's one minute gone in the round. Minowa walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Taiki lands a brutal head kick. Minowa looks out on his feet and Taiki throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Yamada Taiki!
