Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tito Sparza!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparza throws a nice looking combination but Sanchez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sanchez misses with a head kick.

Sanchez moves into the clinch.
Sparza wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Sanchez tightens his grip and picks Sparza up, before dumping him to the ground. Sparza manages to land in guard.

Sparza working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sanchez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sanchez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Sanchez prevents Sparza from getting back to his feet.

Sanchez drops back looking for a leg! Sparza is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sparza manages to kick Sanchez off! Sanchez jumps back into Sparza's guard.

Sanchez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Sparza seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanchez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sanchez content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Sparza keeping moving, preventing Sanchez from controlling successfully.
Sanchez prevents Sparza from getting back to his feet.
Sanchez advances position into side control!
Sparza tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sparza avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Sanchez.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sparza can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sparza is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sanchez has just dragged him back down to the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Sanchez is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Sparza is trying to escape and Sanchez transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Sparza is forced to tap! Nice work there by Sanchez! Very nice indeed!
